SnapScanCard Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 23, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies to SnapScanCard, an Android app published by Jensen. SnapScanCard helps users save business cards, contact memory notes, photos, categories, follow-up status, and backup files.

2. Data You May Enter or Create

SnapScanCard may allow users to create or store the following data:

3. Local Storage

By default, SnapScanCard stores data locally on the user's device. Jensen does not operate a separate server to collect, store, analyze, or share SnapScanCard records.

4. Camera, Photos, and OCR

SnapScanCard may request camera or photo access so the user can capture or select business card images and contact-related photos. These images are used for card management, contact memory, and optional OCR processing.

OCR is used to help extract text from business card images. OCR results are stored locally with the card unless the user exports or backs up the data.

5. Optional Google Drive Backup

SnapScanCard may offer optional Google Drive backup and restore. This feature is used only when the user chooses to sign in with a Google account and manually back up or restore data.

When Google Drive backup is used, SnapScanCard may create backup files in the user's own Google Drive, such as a SnapScanCardBackup folder. Backup files may include card records, exported files, business card images, person photos, OCR text, notes, categories, tags, and follow-up data.

Google Drive data is handled according to Google's own privacy policies and terms. Jensen does not receive or store a copy of the user's Google Drive backup on a developer-owned server.

6. Export and Sharing

SnapScanCard may allow the user to export data as files such as JSON, CSV, Markdown, or ZIP. Exported files are created only when the user chooses to export them.

SnapScanCard may also allow the user to share contact information through the Android share sheet. Data is shared only when the user initiates the share action and chooses a destination app.

7. Google Account Access

SnapScanCard uses Google Sign-In and Google Drive access only for user-authorized backup and restore functionality. The app does not use the Google account for advertising, profiling, analytics, or selling user data.

8. Data Sharing

Jensen does not sell SnapScanCard data. Jensen does not share SnapScanCard data with advertisers, analytics providers, or developer-owned external servers.

If a user chooses Google Drive backup, data is transferred to the user's own Google Drive account as part of the backup feature initiated by the user. If a user chooses export or sharing, the user controls where the exported or shared data is sent.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

Users can edit, archive, move to recycle bin, restore, or delete records inside the app depending on the available app features. Users can also remove local app data by uninstalling the app or clearing the app's storage from Android system settings.

If Google Drive backup is used, users may delete backup files from their Google account or Google Drive, subject to Google's available account and Drive management tools.

10. Data Security

We aim to keep data handling minimal. SnapScanCard stores records locally by default. Optional Google Drive backup uses the user's own Google account and Google's storage infrastructure. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

11. Children's Privacy

SnapScanCard is not specifically directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected on this page.
